The 'Renee' blanket

Many, many moons ago, my wonderful gran taught me to crochet when I was very young.

Once I'd got the basics, she taught me this pattern from memory, (which I believe was very popular in her day).

I call it the 'Renee' blanket, in her memory. It's one of the most enjoyable blankets I've ever made, not just of the wonderful memories it brought back of me and my gran crocheting, but the extra fine merino 4ply was a complete dream to work with.

Mr Fibbs the creative consultant.

Now, I have found my way back to the land of the blogs, I am going to attempt to insert a picture. IF this works, it should be a picture of Mr Fibbs, my creative consultant, (he gets all his best idea's after a power nap), and it will probably be him who decides what to do in the crochet-a-long. x

My First Blog

Hello,
As this is my very first blog ever, and I am not very technical with all things cyber and interwebbed, I thought I should send a 'test' mail first.....is it a mail?, see I don't even know that...much more in my comfort zone with a crochet hook designing patterns.
So if this works (and I manage to find myself back to this page), I shall be 'blogging' frequently, possibly even have as 'crochet-a-long' and introduce you to my wooly world of Coconut Jo, and my actual shop 'Workshop', where I teach, design, create and generally have a fabulous time.
